In Uncategorized on January 17, 2010 at 8:58 pm

Flint, Michigan

On January 16th community organizations, artists, and activists came together in an effort to respond to  the recent devastation in Haiti.  Raising over $1000 in food, clothing, and monetary donations, the night showed the power of collective efforts and what can be done when  people unite for one common goal.   In partnership with The M.I.A Music Is Alive Campaign, LINK Community Arts, Ankh Media Group, and RAISE IT UP! Youth Arts & Awareness all proceeds were donated to Wyclef John’s YELE HAITI fund.

Performances by Amber Lakes, Jon Connor, Tunde Olaniran, Samiyah El-Amin, and others..

Special shouts to Natasha “Theory” Thomas Jackson, and DJ Mike A  for putting on this event.
